I have been persuaded by my friend Vasita Patel to challenge myself to do a 5K swim, I think I can do it! I’m doing it in remembrance of my great Dad, who died of cancer 20 years ago and for those friends that are dealing with it now, it’s a great cause, cancer can creep up on us at anytime along our journey , we will all know someone who has or is dealing with or will deal with it, my challenge is to swim 5 k in 135 mins, some will say easy some will say tough, it’s an individual goal and that’s my aim, of course I’m asking for sponsorship so please help me or encourage me.

I have arranged for a lane at Spirit health club , on April 4th with my kids counting the lengths and encouraging their slack mama to move it, move it, move it.

I have been swimming a mile every other day for a few months now but 5k is 3 times this amount, i'm not sure how it will be,  I've never taken on this sort of challenge before!! First for everything!I'm feeling positive with support of friends that I can do it.
