Story

Thanks for visiting our JustGiving page. For this year's Ride+Stride an intrepid team of cyclists from Memorial Community Church, Plaistow, will be taking a route of arouond 30 miles visiting a number of churches in Essex. At the same time some 'striders' will be joining an ecumenical group on a walking route around many church buildings in Plaistow, Forest Gate and Stratford. Both activities promise a long day and aching muscles in a good cause!

We are raising money for the third and final phase of high level repairs to Memorial Community church needed to stop the rain coming in. Half of what we raise goes straight to this and the other half goes to the Friends of Essex Churches Trust which has given generous grants to both previous phases of work.

The repairs will cost nearly £250,000 and we have been awarded most of it, but need to raise the last £40,000 by next Spring. So please sponsor us and help restore this landmark building in east London which is home to all kinds of excellent community projects. See www.memorialcc.org for more information.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. They’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed. So please dig deep and donate now.
