I'm a dementia researcher and a keen cyclist, or...suspending modesty I'm a Cambridge Professor about to represent the UK in a World Championship cycling event. The top 25% of finishers in June's Tour of Cambridgeshire qualified for the World Gran Fondo Championship (a kind of amateur road race) to be held on 2nd September in Varese, Italy https://www.varesegranfondouci2018.com/september-2nd  I'm training hard, hoping not to come last!  Funding from Alzheimer's Research UK makes much of the research in my laboratory possible so this is the occasion to put something back in.   Please help me reach my fundraising target of £500 and help Alzheimer's Research UK fund research that WILL defeat dementia.  Research is the only way to do it!
