Story
The Michael Palin Centre Team Marathon
The Michael Palin Centre for Stammering therapy and admin team will be completing the 2.6 challenge to raise funds with Action for Stammering Children to support children who stammer. We want to ensure that we can continue to provide our therapy services, come what may.
Over the past 40 years we have supported children and young people who stammer and their families. We have maintained this service since lockdown, thanks to the wonders of technology and the support of Action for Stammering Children, NHS Whittington Health, the Stuttering Foundation and other funders and commissioners.
One parent wrote last week:
"I would like to give you my first experience of an online assessment/therapy session with Martha 3 weeks ago for my son. It was fantastic, especially during this pandemic and lockdown time. It would be great if we could carry these sessions online as I feel more safe and think it’s more effective. Thank you."
Twenty eight MPC staff, past and present, are joining together together to complete this marathon. Please support us so that we can continue to provide expert help to children and young people and their families.
