As a midwife I have experienced the moment when parents find out their baby will be born sleeping or stillborn. The shock and disbelief is never forgotten by those that care for woman and their families in this situation. The pain involved for the parents is unimaginable. 

The Baby Bereavement Suite Appeal goes some way to help those families have a space away from the sounds of labour ward and where the partner can stay with the mother after their baby is born. 

I have had personal experience of loss and how it affects the parents and their whole family. Anything that can be done to improve the care will make a big difference to each family. 

I have chosen to do a skydive as its completely out of my comfort zone. I've also chosen to do it soon so that I don't have chance to think about it too much! 

Any support is appreciated and all proceeds go directly to the charity.
