Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm going to be trekking across Romania in aid of WSPA and their work with the brown bears. The bears are taken from their mothers when they are tiny cubs and forced into a life of cruelty. Beaten and starved, their teeth and claws are ripped out, they have a rope piercing their snouts to tie them up and forced to perform tricks for tourists.

WSPA have set up a bear sanctuary in Romania and this trek ends in a visit to sanctuary to help with the good work they are doing. Please sponsor me to help them continue their good work and ensure this cruel practice stops.

It has just been announced that the sanctuary is now full and urgent extensions are needed before they can rescue any more bears! Clearing the land and building on one square metre costs just £3.10, how many square metres can you help them build? Every little helps for the bears they already have too, for example £1 will buy a bag of fruit, £3 will pay for bedding for a week, £4 will provide urgent veterinary care for a month. Please note that I will be paying for the costs of the trip myself so all of your donations will go straight to WSPA.
