In March 2020, I will embark in a 100mile cycle around Fife accompanied by The Baron to raise funds for the polar academy.

The Polar Academy founded by Craig Mathieson is a fantastic charity that has changed the lives of many young people and impacted massively on so many families.

Bell Baxter High School has been selected for the 2020 Polar Academy expedition. A group of 20 students (aged between 13-15) have been training hard to prepare for their life changing experience. Of the 20 students 10 will lead an expedition to Arctic Greenland in April 2020. My daughter being one of them.

The Polar Academy is a charity that solely relies on donations and as such we have been involved in many activities throughout the year. Each year the charity requires £170,000 to operate.

When the students return, they will embark on a tour of schools and work places in fife. With new found confidence and increased self esteem they will give talks to pupils, parents, teachers and local businesses about their polar experience, the challenges they have faced and how they overcame them.
