Story

On Tuesday 24th May 2011 I will aim to cycle 150 miles, via no less than five racecourses, in one day. The charity ride will raise cash for the Injured Jockeys Fund and will start and end at racehorse trainer, Jonjo O'Neill's base Jackdaws Castle in Gloucestershire, taking in the hilly countryside and towns around - lots of obstacles to slow me down!

I'll set off from Jackdaws Castle at 8am, cycling to Cheltenham, Hereford, Worcester, Warwick and Stratford racecourses before returning by 6pm.

At 71 years young I am always keen to take on the next challenge. Born and brought up in the horseracing world, before being bitten by the cycling bug, I have seen the risks jockeys face every time they race.
