Mike and I have always wanted to return to Nepal after a short trek there before we had kids. We decided to trek to Everest Base Camp while our knees are still up to the job! We are doing this, November/December this year 2017, and are trekking a circular route up to Gokyo lakes, the highest freshwater lakes in the world, crossing the Ngozumpo Glacier and over the daunting Cho La pass. This is challenging for us as although we do lots of walking, we have never been at high altitude before. This is a self-funded and self-organised trip and we want to raise money for a worthwhile cause. We all know family and friends who have been touched by cancer. Some have lost the battle 😪 And so this charity is really dear to our hearts. Research is invaluable to continue to find ways forward to help those diagnosed.
