We help people with ME/CFS to understand and survive their illness

Story

Miles for ME

After the huge success of running the London Marathon last year, I knew this was never going to be the end of my running journey.

I wanted to incorporate my passion into continuing to raise money for amazing causes, and as James was massively inspired by what he saw that day; he’s decided to jump on board and run with me.

So this year we are going to be running 12 half marathons to help raise money for the ME Association.

As many of you are aware, Emily our 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with having ME at the tender age of 11.

We’ve seen first hand how debilitating this illness is, and how much her life has had to change as she battles with chronic fatigue every day. Emily has had to give up full time education, all her fun hobbies, she’s lost friends along the way, and yet she still embraces life with a smile on her face and an unfaltering determination.

She is my inspiration and my reason to continue to challenge myself. Emily never just gives up, she has resilience and determination that is way beyond her years; we are immensely proud of her.

We would love it if you could spare a few pennies to help raise much needed funds for this wonderful charity.

So little research is done for ME, they really do need and appreciate each and every donation.

Thank you 😊

The ME Association campaigns hard to get ME recognised as a severe neurological illness. Our helpline provides essential information and support to adults and children who have ME/CFS, and to their families and carers. We also fund biomedical research into the physical nature and causes of ME/CFS.
