Hi everyone, my name is Debbie and I have challenged myself to raise money for a fantastic charity The Finlay Foundation.

My first fundraising challenge is to summit the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro on the 24th September. Africa's highest mountain. I will be trekking along the Machame route that approaches Kilimanjaro from the south, through dense tropical rainforest all the way up to the mighty snow capped summit at 5,895m.

I already have a sense of overwhelming achievement and I have not left the UK, imagine what I will be like at the top ! The most physically demanding yet most rewarding challenge of my life to date, it will be a tough one. 

I thank every one in advance for their support and will be documenting my trek in a video diary as well as taking photos along the way for everyone to see once my challenge is completed.
