I am raising money for sockport Mind to help them to continue the great work they do in the Stockport and district areas helping people with mental health issues 

Currently in the UK 1 in 6 people have an issue with mental health every week and 1 in 5 people have considered taking their own life.

5 years ago my brother suffered a severe head injury which left him unable to undertake simple tasks which led to him currently suffering from depression and anxiety.

With the help of Stockport Mind, the love and care of family and close friends over time he has slowly been able to try and comprehend the effect the injury has had on everyday life and know the limitations of his own mind and body.

For all the hard work that Stockport Mind have put into his care I am now looking to raise the awareness that with help people can come to terms with these things and there is help available but this help is not currently government funded so on 7th July 2019 myself and others will be completing a sponsored cycle ride from Blackpool to Stockport to try and raise some desperately needed funds to enable Stockport Mind to continue the excellent work they do in my local community.

Please help us to raise as much as possible for this cause as people never know when mental health issues are going to affect them, or people are currently affected by mental health and can be given the opportunity to seek the help that is available.
