Fundraising for Smiles Foundation
Story

We will be spending a week (from 20th-27th October) volunteering in Romania where we will help with a number of Smiles' key projects:
- visiting the homeless
- visiting the elderly
- working with impoverished communities and families
- helping out at the charity's nursery and school
- engaging with churches in the communities Smiles are working
- helping run after-school programmes
- delivering food and clothing parcels
The Smiles Foundation work with people living in poverty across Bihor County, north-west Romania. The charity aims to help people know they are loved and not forgotten - whatever their circumstances. Volunteers assist in this in helping share what God has blessed us with with those less fortunate than ourselves. It doesn't take much: a simple smile, a hug, time spent together, can show someone they are loved and valued.
Anna has a long established link with Smiles and we have had two teams from All Saints go out to serve alongside Smiles in the past two years. Those who have been have seen the impact of Smiles' work first-hand and can vouch for the credibility of the organisation as well as testify to the value of undertaking mission work with Smiles.
