Story
There was blood, sweat and tears for the participants of the MJP Obstacle Challenge but it was also a lovely sunny morning full of smiles, laughter and fun, at the recent fund-raising event in aid of our Charity of the Year, Shelter UK.
The event took place at The Playground in Bury St Edmunds and was supported not only by MJP staff but also by team members from local financial advisers; Charwins Private Clients & Premier Financial Group, and generously sponsored by Conveyancing Data Services.
The participants jumped, climbed and fall over the 25-obstacle course which not only challenged their wits and fitness, as well as testing their dedication to the worthwhile cause.
Their valued efforts raised over £1,000, a sizable contribution towards the work of Shelter UK, who are committed to reducing homelessness.
MJP Conveyancing’s Director David Pett said:
“It was brutal but as they say no gain without pain! It was also a lot of fun and I am very proud of my staff who attended and completed the twenty five obstacles of varying menace.
The bruises, aches and pains were all forgotten when we became aware of the amazing amount of money we had been able to raise for such a worthwhile cause.
Its been great to support the Shelter campaign and we are really pleased that so many people including staff, suppliers, referrers and clients got behind us. Bring on the next challenge!” .... which
is scheduled to be a sponsored sleep-out over Christmas.
