We are the MS Society. We are strong enough to stop MS together.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2010 my beloved brother Sanjay Hansrani died of complications of his Multiple Sclerosis one week before his 41st birthday.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common disabling neurological condition affecting young adults.  Around 100,000 people in the have MS.  MS is the result of damage to myelin - a protective sheath surrounding nerve fibres of the central nervous system.  When myelin is damaged, this interferes with messages between the brain and other parts of the body so that the person can’t control their body.

In September 2010 I intend to climb which, at 5,893 metres or 19,334 ft above sea level, is the highest freestanding mountain in the world.  It is an inactive stratovolcano in north-eastern Tanzania, inAfrica,

Please sponsor me in this endeavour.  I intend to donate all money collected to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in memory of my brother, Sanjay.

The MS Society is the 's largest charity for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS).  They are a membership organisation but provide services to all.  The Society funds MS research, runs respite care centresprovides grants (financial assistance), education and training on MS. It produces numerous publications on MS and runs a freephone specialist Helpline to support sufferers and their carers.

Anyone who pays income tax or capital gains tax can also give money by Gift Aid.  By Gift Aiding your donation or asking your sponsor/donor to Gift Aid their contribution, you will enable the MS Society to claim additional income at no extra cost to you or your sponsor/donor.  For every £1 donated the MS Society can claim an extra 28p.  So if you donate £100 we can claim a further £28!  Just tick the Gift Aid box on the sponsorship form.

You can also sponsor me online:

So please be generous for this very worthy cause and support me with as much as you can.

Thank you.
