Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It's that time again folks! And after much brainstorming over who to run for this year, I decided to go with Sam's suggestion of her very own, much loved Free Kicks Foundation. So, between now and September 4th (is that REALLY only 5 weeks away?!), I'll be doing a bit of training (I'm not gonna say "training hard", we all know I'd be lying), and doing my bestest to get some attention and cold hard cash for them to help give some kiddies a day to remember (we're *hoping* to organise something for a local kid too, I'll keep you all posted on that!). Please please dig deep folks!
Anyone who's not heard of Free Kicks Foundation, please go to www.freekicksfoundation.org for more info. Put simply, they give deserving, football-loving kids a day to remember. And as a football fan, I love the whole idea of it, and feel honoured to have the opportunity to help them out (hopefully a lot)!
We've got the ball rolling! Free Kicks are organising for a wee lad who's been having treatment at the local Children's Hospital, who's a massive Rangers fan, to have a day out meeting the players! The lad in question was nominated by Rachel, Rebecca & Jo at the OT department. By all accounts he's a very special and deserving kid, and I REALLY hope we can make it a special day for him & his family! More reason for me to push you lot to put your hand in your pocket! :D
