Story

Hello,

I’m running (loose terms) 5k every day in March to raise money for Macmillan.

My #sidekick wants to raise awareness of cancer diagnosis’ and wants people to go and get themselves checked out if they notice any, even slight, changes at their GP or with a health professional. Cancer is impacting so many lives on a daily basis and we can lessen this impact by raising awareness in people about any signs or symptoms and raising money for Macmillan to aid and support those who are affected or in need.

I’m doing this run as a hotdog so I get noticed, so people think “oo there’s a hotdog running down the road, I wonder what for?” And then on my back will be Macmillan so everyone knows. All the info will be on my back as I’ll be running that fast... If you know me, you will know this is an utter lie. I will be going at a steady pace, the longer I take the more people who will see me!

If anyone would like to join me on my adventures as I’m dressed as a hotdog please let me know (you don’t have to resemble a food item but fancy dress is always welcome) (1 person is still allowed to exercise outdoors with 1 other person as long as social distancing is maintained)’Il try and go about in daylight, I have a week off mid March and il try and get as many runs as I can midday’ish. I will do some near where I live, however I’m willing to travel (within Covid limitations) so I can do many parks/green spaces around Derby and Derbyshire.

Please spread the word 💚
