Memory Walk
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

On September 10th 2017, me and my daughters Ellen, Amy and Charlotte are taking part in Memory Walk to remember my dear Mum and our Nanny who we lost to Vascular Dementia in February last year.

This disease robbed my mum of everything that she was. She went from being a chatty, well presented and friendly person who always had something to say about everyone and everything to a lonely and sad woman who was frightened of everyone and everything.

The utter turmoil and sadness of this disease is heartbreaking and we felt so helpless at times but we knew we had to stay strong for her and that is what we will continue to do! By taking part in this walk we hope to raise as much money as we can to ensure that families like mine won't and shouldn't have to, go through this sadness in the future.

New statistics indicate that one in three adults over the age of 65 will be affected by dementia! Help stop this awful disease robbing us of our loved ones bit by painful bit!

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! Now let's raise some money:-)
