Memory Walk
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

My nana had dementia and I watched her last month's devastate my mum. Nana dwindled into a she'll who didn't recognise any of us. Some days she called me by my mum's name, looking confuses, probably knowing she'd made a mistake.

It's difficult to watch a strong woman become weak with the confusion of dementia or Alzheimer's.

But medicine is always developing and we are always finding new answers.were going to walk the paths of Hull City Centre so that doctors somewhere can find the path which slowd this down, perhaps even stops the trauma of lost memories.

Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
