Memory Walk 2018

This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Charity Registration No. 296645

Story

Copy by the Alzheimer's Society with additional editing and material by me:

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Alzheimer's Society isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it is mine. I won't bore you with a sob story. If you have a couple of quid to spare, it does go to a great organisation that I wish my family would have contacted and known about.

If you aren't in a position to donate right now, come down and have a drink with me afterwards anyway to celebrate. Or bring me some cans for the walk.
