Our mum passed away in September after battling cancer for two decades. It's been a really strange time for us.

She was such an integral presence in our lives. We never considered what life would be like without her, and at times felt she was almost invincible.

But if it wasn't for the brilliant treatment she received over the years, we might have lost her earlier. We wouldn't have the wonderful memories, been inspired by her joyful spirit, or known what it was like to be loved so affectionately.

With that in mind, we wanted to give back. In the only way we know how, we've put ourselves forward for a 10K run firstly in remembrance of our mum, and secondly to help raise money for research to cure cancer.

We're not the greatest runners in the world. In fact, we are probably the worst runners. We would however like to try and support the charity as it helped to support our mum and family.
