We educate, teach CPR and supply AEDs to prevent sudden cardiac death.

Story

In 2021, Natalie, Mum to Beth who is a 10yr old pupil at Sacred Heart RC Primary School in Paignton, suffered a Heart Attack. Natalie has since been diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome, a hereditary heart condition that, put simply, can stop your heart beating at any time, and without any warning. This is what happened to Natalie in 2021.

Natalie's 3 children have now all been tested for Long QT Syndrome and unfortunately it has been confirmed that Beth also has the condition.

As this condition can happen at any time, without prior warning or any initial symptoms, then the only 'real' way to be effective in planning for this, is by having access to a Public Access Defibrillator, which is what we are now raising this money for, to be sited at Sacred Heart RC School, but also making it available for the surrounding wider community too.

Beth's Granddad has volunteered (or perhaps 'was nominated') for this fundraising event, by doing a Sky Dive in October 2022. Colin maintains he is excited about his upcoming adrenaline-fueled experiment, and states its long been on his 'bucket-list', but let's see shall we!

Please give as kindly as you are able to during these tough times, this is a fantastic cause, one that is desperately in need now, given that it is local family that is confirmed to have this awful disease, but also that the wider community too, will benefit from the provision of a Public Access Defibrillator.

Thank you very much
