Story

best birthday ever, so glad to be able to help a charity so close to my heart, I finished in just over 4 hours 30mins. thank you all so much. must eat..

I am lost for words!! one week ago I was extremely worried that I would not reach my target of 2000 pounds!! but in that short week all you wonderful people have taken that worry from my shoulders, I am now very happily over my limit and feel as tho I have achieved something great allready for many people affected by CMN, all I can do now is represent caring matters now the best I can on this great memorable and world famous challenge that awaits me tomorrow.

well less than a week left,,, no more plaster cast, no stitches holding me together and the wife doesn't start her chemo/radio therapy until the 25th of April! ! what a great amount of money to have been donated to such a worthy cause, I'd like to sy a massive thank you for everything so far, you are all superb.

so things have taken yet another turn, I am currently carrying a plaster cast from my hand all the way to my arm pit(left arm) after falling from my pushbike on the way home from work!!it's hard work running but not hard enough to stop me!the cast comes off in 2 weeks so I am not backing out, the only problem that I have is funding, so please please dig deep and do all you can to support me I need it now more than ever.thank you all so much for everything so far I could of never kept my head up and stayed positive with all these problems I've had without peoples so many kind words to keep me going.

ok so 10 stitches in my back have been the next problem to interfere with my training , I've not been able to exercise much, but they are coming out tomorrow ,mon the 7th march ,and with a bit of luck the results are good and I don't have to go back to hospital for a while now. can't wait as I'm feeling very restricted.

thank u all so much for everything so far.

well ,the training is going well and the time is getting closer.I have a charity day coming up soon to help reach my target! and I have another 2 operations coming up on the 26 Feb. it won't stop me from reaching my goal.

I'm getting married on the 23rd January , so I'm really busy at the moment with training and wedding preparations, once I've had my big day I intent to put my all in to this amazing opportunity that lies ahead of me.thanks all for your support and donations so far, I know this time of year is not financially easy for most people so thanks again.happy new year and good health to us all. !!

and so it begins

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have giant congenial Melanocytic Naevus Syndrome.

For any one who does not know, this means that my body is covered in brown hairy birthmarks from head to toe, some big some small. I have had up to 40 fatty lumps and spots removed from my skin in the last 37 years.

In 2013 I  had a seizure and was found to have 2 stage IV melanoma brain tumours. They have since been removed and I am in good health. So much so that I intend to run the London marathon on my 38th BIRTHDAY in 2016!!!

Please help me reach our target and please do all you can to pass the word on.

I have been given the opportunity to run for Caring matters now in hope of raising awareness and funds for research into this rare condition that some adults and children can find hard, scary and very difficult to live with.
