Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I think I'm the last person in the country to have one, so clearly I've been saving myself for something important and that is definitely the case....

I'm raising money for JHHHT (The Joshua Hayday Helping Hands Trust). For those of you who don't know, the trust was recently set up by my sister-in-law and her husband in memory of their son, Joshua, who died last year, aged 10 months. The trust helps families to care for children, like Joshua, with life-limiting conditions, so every pound you donate will be incredibly valuable to the children and families it goes to help.

I feel very proud to be running my first half-marathon for such a good cause; something that will spur me on as I pass the 12-mile marker gasping for air, wondering why my training regime has proved so inadequate, how I could come to be overtaken by an octogenarian and why no-one has invented an instant cure for blisters and sore nipples.

It's a great event and a great cause, so please dig deep and donate now.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
