Newborns Vietnam Team - takes the Cyclothon UK Challenge
In 2013 thirty-two riders took part in the Cycle a Difference Vietnam Challenge ride, they cycled 1,500 kilometers across Vietnam in a heat wave. The ride raised the funds for UK University led ‘neonatal nurse training programme’ for nurses working in the newborn special care baby unit in Da Nang, Vietnam. The nurse training is already making a big difference to the survival and care of newborn infants.
Veterans of the epic ride across Vietnam are cycling for the Newborns Vietnam team at the Cyclothon 2014 to raise funds for essential life saving equipment. The team target is to buy 6 easy to use infant resuscitators that provide optimal safe resuscitation.
We passionately believe that every child deserves the chance to celebrate his or her first birthday and grow into a healthy individual who can contribute to society without being burdened by the effects of adverse events during the first few weeks of life.
The Newborns Vietnam team is led by Rob Daniels his teammates include Adel, Richard, and Louis.
