Hi Everyone,

As some of you might know, in April 2003, my younger brother, Sean was the victim of an unprovoked attack. His attackers (a father and son) rendered him unconcious and then stamped on his head.

As a result, he was left severely brain damaged and the last six years have been a relentless run of endless brain surgery and hospital internments. He remains in hospital to this day.

On the 6th of June 2009 I will be competing in the 28.5 mile Manhattan Island marathon swim  - a swim around Manhattan Island, New York  to raise funds and awareness for Headway, the brain injury charity that supported my brother and others like him whose lives have been altered drastically by brain injuries. They also give much needed support to the family to come to terms with the tragic consequences of brain injury.

I appreciate all the support and help that I recieved for my swims so far and thank anyone who wishes to donate to the appeal,

Thank you again,

Jane
