We support those affected by meningitis to stop the disease devastating lives
Story
On 25th June this year Nick Wright and Jason Nicholls will be taking on a mission to walk the length of the river Severn and canoe back down. We will be starting in Bristol from the Severn beach and walking 210 miles over 4 days along the Severn way to the end of the river severn in Plynlimon Wales. Once we arrive in Wales we will jumping into a canoe and paddling the journey back to where we started in Bristol.
Every penny you sponser will go to our Meningitis Now charity which so far you fantastic people have raised over £16000.00. We really want to push on and raise as much as possible for such a fantastic charity. You can donate as little or as much as you wish every penny you donate helps families who have been affected with such a tragic disease.
We will be posting updates on the #6hours facebook page where you will be able to follow our progress on training and a running total on how much you have all raised.
Its going to be a tough and gruelling mission for us to achieve and im sure you will all support us along the way and raise as much as possible.
#forfleur #6hours. #trainhard.
Thanks guys Nick and Jason
Gift Aid allows UK charities to claim back the basic rate tax already paid on donations by the donor. This means we can claim back from the government on your behalf 25p for every £1 donated, boosting the value of the donation by a quarter.
In the 30 years since Meningitis Now was founded, we have funded research, provided support & worked to raise the public's awareness of the disease. Our vision is a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need to rebuild their lives.
