Hi all,

I have a confession: I am addicted to coke. As many will know, but especially colleagues, whether it be diet or zero, my carbonated craving is insatiable. Worryingly, monthly consumption has reached a deplorable 13 imperial gallons.

Bottom line - I’m going to quit the stuff for a month. It’s sort of my version of dry January, but frankly this detox can’t wait until 2018 so December it is.

As well as leading a healthier life, I thought this would be an opportunity to raise some money for a charity that I first volunteered for 7 years ago – Sight Support Derbyshire. They provide much needed services to those of all ages with sight loss. Any support would be enormously appreciated!

As I type, I slowly begin to regret this undertaking.
