Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The 29th July marks the 15th Anniversary of Anthony's cruel, racially motivated murder. Fourteen of my colleagues and I will each be running a 5k over the next fifteen days to raise money for the Anthony Walker Foundation (AWF). AWF was founded by Anthony's family following his murder, they have not swayed in their commitment to tackling hate crime since the charity was founded in 2005.

AWF supports victims of Hate Crime, however, they are also very involved in the education system and are dedicated to educating the next generation. Nelson Mandela famously said "No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love'. AWF believe in that and they are committed to raising awareness and educating our next generation and to borrow another quote from the great Nelson Mandela 'Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world'.

My colleagues and I believe in the work AWF do and we are committed to supporting the charity in anyway we can. If you are reading this and you too want to play come small part in helping them in their battle against racism then please make a small donation, anything you can spare will help and is greatly appreciated.

Let' put a stop to racism and the loss of any more lives as a result of these despicable crimes.
