Last year I was diagnosed with heart disease which required a triple artery bypass. This turned into a quadruple on the morning of the operation!  I was fit and active, cycled and ran regularly, so this diagnosis was somewhat of a shock to both my family and myself. I quickly realised I was not alone and heart conditions affect all ages and both male and female.

I have been lucky and recovered quickly with the help of family and friends, but I have been determined that having the operation would not hold me back and want to show others that you can lead a normal life after a major operation.
