Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Alzheimer's is an awful disease that slowly robs people of their humanity. It has affected my dad for over a decade slowly taking him away from us. As well as this my mum died whilst suffering with vascular dementia.

I'm running the London Marathon to try and raise as much money as possible. I was hoping to keep up with Mo Farah but I've heard that they are giving him a head start so I'm going to have to just set my own pace  and try to finish in about 5 hours.

Thanks for any support you are able to give:

  • £5 could pay for one person to attend a half hour support session at a Dementia Cafe.
  • £50 Could fund a National Dementia Helpline advisor for an hour, as they provide a listening ear for people in need of advice and support.

The Alzheimer's society supports people who currently suffer with dementia and funds research to find a cure.
