The sun shone upon us, the atmosphere was amazing peope smiling made for a memerable day indeed!

May I take this opportunity to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to you all who have sponsored me, RTd me, Shared me, & got behind me once again! Your support means so much to me.

HAPPY NEW YEAR I wish you all a healthy & happy 2013! xxx

Hi everyone its Nikki Bailey (again) thank you so much for coming over to my page here!

My Story!

As many of you know I have been a HUGE supporter of www.beatbullying.org for a few years now having discovering them via twitter @BeatBullying through the lovely John Quinn!

Since then I have been hooked my first fundraiser was for beatbullying by doing a sponsored diet throughout 2011 losing 3 stone following Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Plan & raising over £1800 in total including a fundraiser in my local town centre mall which was a great success that just grew & grew with my determination to gain as much support as possible for this great cause.

The reason why I support Beat Bullying is simple, as a child I was terribly bullied repeatedly. The reasons??? Well I guess it's because they could & get away with it. What the bullies may or may not have realised was how soul destroying this was for me, it shattered any slight bit of confidence I had, which was minimal I must add. The feelings of believing that youre unworthy to be stood even holding your own shaddow & not feeling strong enough to own it is an awfully lonely place to be! I even now can remember looking on at the gangs of bullies whilst still laying on the cold concrete of the park & thinking Why?? It hurt me deeper than the physical punches it destroyed any self belief I had & got me questioning why am I here & contemplated ending it all!!

It was the most wretched time of my life & have to say when ever I think of my childhood its always tarnished heavily with dark memories that over shadow any possible good times I may have held which again were few & far between.

Once I moved away (100 miles to be precise) I started my journey on self discovery, finding out who I am, if Im a nice person or not for when one is bullied like that you question whether you are ok or just a waste of space like the bullies make you feel. Fortunately once I moved away my life began at 18 years of age,... I made great friends & never looked back...TBC....

Knowing Beatbullying is here for children today is a massive comfort for me,.. its not easy asking for help especially when feeling already at an all time low & you feel un help able but Beatbullying have a fantastic team of adult & children mentors trained helping kids everywhere in the UK gain help, advice, support & self belief. I totally believe in Beatbullying & you should too. :)

Since I have lost the 3 stone I have discovered a love for running... this year alone I have ran 3 x 10k's 1 x 5k & The Brighton Half in February 2012, all for great cancer charities.

This time I wish to dedicate the www.BrightonHalf.com 2013 for Beatbullying.org I aim to run it in 2 hours 20 minutes with a hope of raising lots of money & awareness in the build up process & on the day. The Brighton Half have made me their Ambassador of which I am totally proud.

The above personal information is from my heart, but felt that if you dont know me it would be great for you to understand why I am so passionate about this amazing life saver for traumatised kids everywhere.

Please get behind me & support me by helping me help kids today have a place to turn to, a click, a call, a letter away from help that can change their lives & teach the children tools to be strong & get through this horrendious time in their lives. Please support me in helping keeping this lifeline open for kids who need help when at their all time low,.. for a number of years ago that child was me!!

Please visit the beatbullying website & see for yourself what great work they do, thank you!

Any help you give me will be gratefully appreciated by me, Beatbullying & the children who need to know they have a lifeline out there in BeatBullying. Thank you!
