Like most people in this country I'm massively grateful for the NHS, both for what they've done for me and what they're doing every day during these extraordinary times. But that's also made me think about what it's like for people without that safety net, maybe refugees crowded into camps or citizens of countries with already fragile health services. Which is why this appeal is not for the NHS but for a charity I've been supporting regularly for many years - MSF. 

MSF is currently providing urgently needed medical care and support in more than 70 countries to counter the coronavirus disease. MSF's medical teams are also gearing up to confront potential outbreaks in the hundreds of areas they were already working before the pandemic struck. MSF are deploying medics, sending supplies and applying nearly 50 years of experience fighting epidemics to protect the most vulnerable and save lives. Any support you can give will be welcome.

How this will work: If I get "sufficient" contributions (and Anne's desperate to do this, so the bar's set pretty low), I'll have my hair dyed blue as in the (photoshopped) profile picture above. If you're extra-generous (and I haven't already died of embarrassment), she has more colours. Thank you.
