The news of the Government's £1bn deal with the DUP reminded me of the assertion during the election campaign that there was no "magic money tree" to spend on nursing or nurses.

Can we grow a money tree of our own? I've set up this page to raise funds for the important work of the RCN Foundation, who

• invest in the future of nursing by providing grants for education and training opportunities
• improve patient care by providing grants to research and develop best practice in the nursing profession
