Raising money for ME, CFS, Fibromyalgia research

Story

In June 2017 we launched our fundraising campaign ‘Sofa heroes’, because we know that you have to be a hero to live with ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia and we believe people should have access to our integrative treatment approach on the NHS.

To make this happen we are running a Randomised Control Trial with the University of Surrey to gain the evidence base that our approach works.

To do this we have to raise the funds to run the trial and so as a team we are taking on a Go Ape challenge on the 2nd July at Alexandra Park.

Some of us have a bit of a fear of heights and others are still bouncing our physical boundaries following recovery, so its a challenge for many of us.

Taking part we have:

Alex, Jess, Nikkie, Denise, Marielke, Marie, Lesley, Sanna, Claire, Emma, Tara, Taru, Joanne, Bebe, Anna and Gemma

If you would like to support our campaign and cheer us on for this event we would be very grateful, we really do need your help to make these trials happen.

About the charity

The Optimum Health Clinic is an integrative medicine clinic run by those personally affected by ME/CFS/Fibromyalgia. We are currently fundraising for a randomised controlled trial into our protocol approaches, with the long-term aim of NHS funding being available for those unable to afford support.
