What we're doing...

At Optionis, we like to give something back. That's why we're pledging to raise an incredible £10,000 for a worthy cause, as we partner up with the Samaritans for our corporate charity for this year.

Along with exciting Charity Challenges, we’ll be holding a host of fun fundraising activities throughout the year to help us reach our fundraising target.

Why we're doing it...

The Samaritans offer a dedicated, free helpline and provide support and advice to those who need it. This helpline is run by volunteers and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Every six seconds, somebody contacts the Samaritans. By offering a safe place to talk, at any time and about anything, ten times a minute they can help someone turn their life around. By fundraising for the Samaritans, we’re helping them provide support for those who need their help the most.

Here’s what donations mean to them:

£10 could cover the cost of two calls from someone struggling to cope

£25 could keep Samaritans’ helpline open for 7 minutes

£46 could train and support a Samaritans volunteer for a year
