Story
This is where I tell you that in 2012 I had a stroke.
This is where I tell you that I'm not really a runner.
This is where I tell you that I've been diagnosed as chronic asthmatic.
This is where I tell you that I'm running to raise funds for the Stroke Association, not just for me, but for family and friends that have also been through a stroke and not all of them have been as lucky as I was.
This where I tell you that I've had a gastrocnemius tear, an IT band issue and no formal training.
This is where I tell you that I'm having to split my time between training for the biggest physical challenge I've ever faced and the final year of my Masters with the Open University.
This is where I now ask you to help raise money for the Stroke Association.
This is where I now ask you to help me help them help others.
"When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives."
