In October 2009 Gwyn, Ryan and Shaun left London in a partially solar powered Landcruiser aiming for Cape Town South Africa.
We are raising money for SolarAid - a charity that fights global poverty and climate change by encouraging the use of solar technology. Solar is often to cheapest form of energy to those in rural Africa who have no access to grid electricity. SolarAid encourage and support small business to grow, rather than just giving goods away - this will have a lasting impact on these communities.

********Stop Press****** Bethan (Gwyn's sister) is running the Manchester 10km run on Sunday 16th of May - also raising money for SolarAid. You can donate here as well*********
To note; donations through this site go directly to SolarAid, they do not fund the overland trip.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: SOLARAID will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
