Dear All who visit, let me tell you a little about the group and the challenge. We have called the group "Over The Hills 2009" and we are sure that reflects our ages and waist sizes! We are all police officers and family either serving or retired and some have been doing this sort of mad thing for twelve years. This will be the seventh challenge and the aim is to try and raise £100,000 in total over all the rides. We have raised £95,000 so far. This years ride/walk is to climb the three peaks Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowden and cycle between them, we will be doing it over 7 days and the distance on the bike is about 600miles. We are raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of Pc Derek Boulton who sadly passed away one week after his retirement from the force and before he could even draw his pension. He had taken part in previous events and would have been the first to volunteer. Our group has been supported by Former Prime Minister Mr Tony Blair who gladly gave his time as you can see from our photograph, and has now given a donation to the event. Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now! for visiting my fundraising page.
