Story
It's been a while so it's time for you to help me support Dorothy House again. A duathlon (with a few months in between) of the Bath Half Marathon and L'Etape du Tour, which this year is Stage 2 of the Tour de France route - 174km up and down the Alpes Maritimes north of Nice. Which will be nice.
Why Dorothy House? As always, my answer is because of the support that our family has received over the years - before, during and since the passing of my parents.
Why a £700 target? Because of Dorothy House's #700 challenge. The Dorothy House catchment area is an incredible 700 square miles - so the aim of the challenge is for fund-raisers this year to each meet that sum as their target amount - at least.
Dorothy House provides care to people with a life-limiting illness, and their families and carers. All care is free of charge and is available wherever and whenever it is needed. All teams work together to ensure that those they support can live well and die well. The hospice believes that death is a part of life and that everybody should receive outstanding palliative and end of life care. By supporting me to do my #700 Challenge, you are helping to directly support the work of this vital charity, and enables them to be there for people when it really matters most.
