Story
The Honeypot Children's Charity believes that every child has the right to make the most of their one chance at childhood, regardless of the circumstances they experience at home.
Here at Foran we believe in this mission statement too and are proud to raise funds for such a worthy cause.
A recent survey suggests the estimated number of young carers in the UK could be as high as 800,000 (BBC, 2018). Very few services exist for young carers, and increasingly so, for services that support children who live in poverty.
The Honeypot is the only service that offers consistent and regular support and respite breaks, for young careers and vulnerable children between the tender age of 5-12. Without Honeypot, many of these children would have nowhere else to turn.
All proceeds from the Foran & Friends Charity Paddle will go towards the continual work of The Honeypots respite breaks and outreach support programmes, which offer these children a safe and nurturing environment.
