The route from Edinburgh to London is a journey I have done many times before, more than I can count, but it has always been by train. It is this route that connects me with my dad and I would like to travel it once again, but this time this connection will make a difference.
From a very young age I have watched the ongoing battle between my father and Parkinson's Disease and have decided it is now my turn to make a difference.
Both Jemma Stewart and Anna Egerton-King have seen the effect that this has had upon my life and I can't thank them enough for always being there for me. Amongst working for our GCSEs this year we have been planning our route and working on our fitness. We estimate that this challenge will take us between 8 to 10 days.
The offline donation of £1,674.96 is going to Parkinsons UK whilst the remaining two thirds are going to go to the Cure Parkinsons Trust who will invest this in a new treatment that aims to stop, slow or reverse Parkinsons Disease. This total above shows how much we have raised overall. To see the generous donations that are going to Parkinsons UK please visit
