On telling a friend I had been very fortunate to receive a
ballot place for the Virgin Monday London marathon she asked if I would support
a charity she was an ambassador for – The Maggie Oliver Foundation. 

After looking into the organisation and watching the clips
of Maggie, (a detective turned whistle-blower who resigned from Greater
Manchester Police in late 2012 in order to expose the now infamous Rochdale
Grooming Scandal), I realised this cause was one I needed to stand behind and
do what I could for.

As some of you may know this will be my 35^th
marathon, but believe me they never get any easier – especially at my age, so I
need all the support I can get !!

Please dig deep and give as much or as little as you can –
all your support will be truly appreciated !
