Story
After all my crazy running capers over the years....many runs in various costumes, running 29 miles on February 29th, recently running 20.12miles from Tyne Bridge to Durham Cathedral on consecutive running day 2012 of my runstreak which is still ongoing and currently attempting to run 2012 miles in 2012 I'm planning another crazy challenge.......
....On Saturday 28th July I intend to run ALL 11 North East parkruns in ONE day! Starting with my home run at Durham parkrun at 9am I will then proceed to tour the North East Parkrun circuit and run the following 5k parkruns.... Sedgefield, Tees Barrage, Albert Park Middlebrough, Stewart Park Middlesbrough, Redcar, Sunderland, Whitley Bay, Newcastle, Gateshead and Chester-le-Street a total mileage of 34.1miles! Who knows I may even run them all in costume!
The chosen charity is Acorns Children's Hospice a cause that is very close to a fellow parkrunner and friend George Nicholson's heart, Acorns did such a wonderful job in caring for his Granddaughter Emily Hart
Emily died the week before christmas in 2006 aged 5 year ending a long brave battle with Metochromatic leukodystropy ( MLD )
