We provide free conductive education to help children with cerebral palsy

Story

In the next couple of weeks I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for a fantastic local charity.

To encourage me on my way up I have decided to try to raise money for a worthwhile cause, but as there are so many worthy causes I had a hard time choosing!

I have decided to go with Stick ‘n’ Step. This is a little known organisation based in Wirral and Runcorn who do fantastic work in supporting children and young people with cerebral palsy and their families.

Stick ‘n’ Step support 98 children and young people from across the North West and North Wales with cerebral palsy through weekly or twice weekly sessions of conductive education, a classroom based programme that combines physical therapies with learning and play, with the idea that children will become more mobile, more confident and more independent. Stick ‘n’ Step do not receive any government funding, and therefore rely on the generosity and support of charitable trusts, businesses, community groups and individuals. They also do not charge a fee for their children to attend. I hope to raise £2,000 for this wonderful cause and cannot do it without your help and support!

This is a charity close to my heart as my brother Peter  would have loved this organisation.
