Thank you for visiting my just giving page. It means a lot to me and the Marie Curie Nurses I am raising money for.
On 12th August 2009 my family changed forever. I lost my most incredible, caring and amazing Nanny.
Nanny was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer and after a strong brave battle with the illness, Marie Curie nurses cared for her at home in the last days of her life which meant she was able to be surrounded by her loving family. Marie Curie provided both nanny and my family with high quality support at a time where all hope was lost.
Since my Nanny has passed away, I have watched my mum raise money, train and complete a half marathon in aid of other charities that were central to my nan's illness. After witnessing the hard work and dedication my mum gave to other charities, I am passionate and motivated to give something back to Marie Curie. I have been inspired to run my first ever half marathon in my nan's memory and will take part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 8th October. And just for that added pressure, I am giving myself a target of 2 hours to complete the race!
The work Marie Curie do is vital for all the families out there who need them. This is my way of giving something back, and to say thank you Marie Curie.
Any donation, no matter how small will be gratefully received.
So...here goes! Bring on the training and carbs!
Thank you for your support.
