Story

Eleni, fe drown ein sylw at yr argyfwng hinsawdd a'n cymdogion byd eang sy'n parhau i frwydro yn erbyn effeithiau tywydd eithafol. Mae Rose sy'n byw yn Kenya, wedi ei dal mewn cylch o anhrefn hinsawdd. O sychder difrifol i lifogydd, mae tywydd eithafol yn dwyn yr hyn y mae hi ei angen i oroesi oddi arni - ffynhonnell
ddibynadwy o ddŵr.

Gyda ffynhonnell ddibynadwy o ddŵr, gallai Rose dyfu llysiau ffres i'w bwyta, gwella ei bywoliaeth a cheisio diogelu ei theulu'n well yn erbyn y coronafeirws.

Os gwelwch yn dda cefnogwch ein hymdrech i godi arian i sicrhau ffynhonnellau dŵr i bobl fel Rose. Bydd eich rhodd yn helpu cefnogi gwaith hanfodol Cymorth Cristnogol ymysg rhai o gymunedau tlotaf ein byd.

Diolch yn fawr!

Os nad ydych yn gallu rhoi drwy’r we yna gallwch anfon siec yn daladwy i 'Eglwys
 Horeb' d/o Rhyd-y-gof, Penrhyn-coch, Aberystwyth SY23 3EQ neu yn daladwy i 'Eglwys St Ioan' d/o Y Ficerdy, Garth, Penrhyn-coch, Aberystwyth SY23 3EP.

Bydd yr eglwys neu gapel yn eu tro yn anfon yr arian ymlaen at Gymorth Cristnogol. Mae dyddiad cau y casgliad wedi ei ymestyn hyd at 14 Mehefin.

The climate crisis is leaving people hungry, homeless and heartbroken. People like Rose are struggling to survive without a reliable source of water. From drought to

flooding, climate chaos robs people of control over their lives. I often feel hungry, Rose says. Because of climate change, I worry a lot about food. I pray to God that the rainfall will become normal like it used to be.

In recent years, the drought has been so bad that it has caused a hunger crisis. Crops wither and die. Rivers run dry. People struggle to survive. The coronavirus  pandemic has only made this lack of water more critical for Rose. Without water for handwashing, it is a struggle to stay safe from the virus.

Please support our fundraising and help to provide reliable water sources, for people like Rose. Your gift will help support Christian Aid's vital work with some of the poorest communities in the world.

Thank you!

If you cannot give online you can send a cheque made out to "Eglwys Horeb" to c/o Rhyd-y-gof, Penrhyn-coch, Aberystwyth SY23 3EQ or a cheque made out to "St John’s Church" to c/o Y Ficerdy, Garth, Penrhyn-coch, Aberystwyth SY23 3EP.

The church / chapel will forward all donations received to Christian Aid.  The end date for the collection has been extended to 14 June.
