In these uncertain times, when we can’t raise funds in one of the more traditional ways, we have come up with our own fundraising campaign to lend our support to the charity. 

We have set ourselves a virtual challenge to walk, run, cycle or row from RNLI station to station around the entire British Isles  – a mere 3386 miles! 

We are delighted that the funds raised can be channelled directly to essential crew kit for the Longhope lifeboat.

We have an enthusiastic group of participants (shore staff and MV Alfred’s crew) that have already embarked on the journey. You can chart progress on social media and at www.pentlandferries.co.uk . 

There has never been a more important time to contribute to our volunteer lifeboat crews as they continue to answer calls and save lives.
