On the 18th of May, more than 25 year 12 students will be cutting off 20-35cm of their hair. All of the hair will be sent to the Little Princess Trust to create wigs for children who have lost their own hair due to their cancer treatments. As well as this, we will be raising money for the trust to purchase more wigs, as well as helping to fund research into the causes of childhood cancers and reducing the side-effects of their treatment. 

Unfortunately, so many of us are affected, directly or indirectly, by cancer, so curing/reducing the detrimental effects of cancer is a cause that we often feel passionate about.

Here is a bit about the Little Princess Trust:
The Little Princess Trust was launched in 2006 by the parents of Hannah Tarplee. She was the original Little Princess. Sadly she was diagnosed with having a Wilms tumour and after a brave battle, died in 2005.

For so many children who undergo cancer treatments, losing their hair can be a very traumatic experience - so providing free wigs helps in a small way.
