I have recently been quite ill and as a result I cannot do a lot of things that I did before. These include getting outside in the garden and going out for a drive in the car. As I’m 91 years old, recovery is a slow process and it’s easy to just get stuck inside and  not see anyone, and motivation can be difficult. Inspired by Captain Tom and the encouragement of my loving wife and children I’ve decided to try and walk outside as often as I can to try and help my recovery and others in the process. I cannot say how far I will walk in total, or how often, but I will keep you updated regularly with my progress.  Whatever you feel able to donate will be much appreciated. [I don't really understand modern technology so someone is kindly managing all this for me].

My progress so far (updated 20/02/2021):

Days into my challenge - 103. Walks completed - 46.  Total distance walked - 19.9 miles (32.0 km).

Everyone has been so generous I have reached my initial target of £250 in less than a week, so today (16/11/2020) I have increased this to £500. This generosity has continued and again I'm able today (02/12/2020) to increase this further to £750. Thank you.
